Undergraduate Admissions Process
Admission to any bachelor programme is made through the PIU admission office. The University screens applicants based on the student’s academic performance, GUJCET, and/or JEE Main exam score. As per the Admission Committee for Professional Courses(ACPC), Department of Technical Education, and Government of Gujarat, the University is empowered to admit 50% of their sanctioned seats at their level. The students at the University level are admitted as per the below-mentioned criteria.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
for Engineering Programmes
Engineering programmes at PIU cover B. Tech. in Plastics and Polymer Engineering and B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with an Honor/Minor degree. Admissions into any of these courses are given if the students meet the below eligibility criteria:
The student should have cleared 10+2 with the Science stream with a minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) of theory (or theory and practical) marks of Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, Chemistry or Biology or any other technical vocational subject.
Students should have appeared in the JEE (Main) examination and/or State level examination GUJCET

Fill out the application form in the admissions section with your personal, contact, and qualification details.

After filling out the application form, attach your passport-sized photograph, scanned documents, and signature.
Step 04
Pay your application fee
Note: Take the printout of the filled application form for future reference.
The following are the necessary documents required during admission at PIU:
10th & 12th class Mark sheet
& passing Certificate
Income Certificate (if applicable)
SC/ST and any other caste category certificate (If Applicable)
Fee Structure
The course fee is decided by the Fees Regulatory Committee (FRC-Technical), Government of Gujarat.
Lateral Entry
PIU also offers lateral entry admissions (Diploma to Degree) for undergraduate courses. Students can get admission in the second year of the course from academic year 2025-26.
Financial Aid
PIU is established by an Act of Legislative Assembly of Gujarat hence students can avail benefits of the schemes floated by the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India. For other state government schemes, the university will provide administrative facilitation. The University also provides financial aid to meritorious students through the University administrative office.
