Yes. Plastindia International University (PIU) is established by Government of Gujarat through Gujarat State Private University Act, 2009 (Amendment 2016) and it is recognized by University
Grants Commission (UGC). Degree obtained from PIU is valid worldwide.
Moreover, the Engineering courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The AICTE is a regulatory body which regulates the Engineering education in India.
PIU offers two courses
- B.Tech. (Plastics and Polymer Engineering) with sanctioned intake of 60
- B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering) with sanctioned intake of 60.
In addition to this, as a lateral entry from Diploma to Degree, Student can avail admission after completion of any technical diploma to Degree in the Second Year. This year PIU Offers 60 seats through Diploma to Degree in B.Tech. (Plastics and Polymer Engineering) in Second Year.
Eligibility Criteria:
- For first year B.Tech. in Plastics and Polymer Engineering as well as B. Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering) criteria remains the same which is mentioned hereunder.
- Any individual who have cleared his/her qualifying examination of Standard 12th or any equivalent exam from the recognized education board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 45% are eligible to appear for the admission process. For Student who belongs to SC/ST category are eligible with 40% marks.
- For Diploma to Degree (D2D) lateral entry admission, student with any technical diploma is eligible for admission into Direct Second Year admission to B.Tech. For the academic year 2025-26, PIU offers D2D admissions into B.Tech. (Plastics and Polymer Engineering)
Yes, there are 30 seats in each of the programs are filled up through Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). One should register on ACPC portal and while choice filling, select Courses offered by School of Engineering, Plastindia international University.
Fees for Engineering Program is decided by Fee Regulatory Committee – Technical, Government of Gujarat. Currently, the fees are Rs. 75,000/- per Year to be paid semester wise. However, it is slightly going to increase from academic year 2025-26 as PIU has applied for fees revision to FRC(Technical), Government of Gujarat. Plastindia International University does not charge any capitation fees or any other hidden charges which are not disclosed.
Yes. Since PIU is UGC recognized University which offers AICTE approved courses, all kind of Government Scholarship, whether it is a state government or central government is available. Scholarship like Post Matriculation Scholarship, Scholarship for Other Backward Class (OBC), Minority Scholarship. The University administration facilitate the student for the same.
Regarding Bank loan, Since the University is recognized by UGC the student will surely get the Bank loan. The administration facilitates to those students who are wishing to fund their higher education through Bank Loan.
Yes. PIU has technical collaboration with University of Massachusetts, Lowell (UML) USA and as a part of this technical collaboration, students can visit during semester break at UML and attend the courses of their own choice to gain international exposure. Students can also choose to go in early semester but it is advisable to go after 4th or 6th Semester.
Yes, PIU administration will facilitate the student for Visa process. However, entire expenditure is to be borne by the student because this an additional cost is not covered as a part of the fees.
Yes, PIU offers shared Air-Conditioned housing accommodation which is fully loaded with the amenities such as Bed with mattress and Pillow, Writing Table with Chair, Electric Geyser, Refrigerator, Water Purifier, Washing Machine and 3 meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). These accommodations are provided by PIU and has been monitored and maintained by PIU Administration. Since the campus is 2.5 km away from the Hostel Facility, PIU has organized transportation facility.
Since the complete admission process is carried out by PIU as per the regulations of Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), the refund policy shall be exactly as per the ACPC guidelines which will be mentioned in the information brochure of the ACPC.
As per the general guidelines, ACPC will declare the last date of the admission closure, any cancellation after that particular date is not liable for fees refund.
