Plastindia International University (PIU) is India's first institution dedicated to Plastics and Sustainability, established under the aegis of PlastiIndia Foundation. Our mission is to train professionals who can lead sustainable initiatives in the plastics industry. PIU offers specialized courses and continuing education programs to align with industry needs. Through a technical partnership with the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML), USA, offering one of the finest global programs in Plastics Engineering since 1954, PIU aims to provide global exposure and cutting-edge research opportunities. Our programs are tailored to meet the demands of India's rapidly growing plastics industry and prepare students for future leadership roles.

The University offers industry-centric programmes such as B. Tech. in Plastics and Polymer Engineering as well as need-of-the-hour courses such as B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, including trending technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

To get admission to PIU, you need to submit your online application form with the required details and documents on the official website, https://www.plastindia.edu.in/

Admissions into the B.Tech programmes are given if the students meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • The student should have cleared 10+2 with the Science stream with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) of theory (or theory and practical) marks of Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, Chemistry or Biology or any other technical vocational subject
  • Students should have appeared in the JEE (Main) examination and/or the state-level examination GUJCET.

The University offers UG, and Graduate Certificate programmes related to Plastics and allied industries.

The student can visit the campus physically or fill up the form online based on his/her choice.

The academic session for the year 2024-25 commences from September 2024 as per ACPC guidelines.

PIU students can avail the student exchange programme opportunity with technical partners University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA.

PIU being a Private University of Gujarat, the fees is decided by the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC-Technical), Government of Gujarat.

PIU is established by an Act of Legislative Assembly of Gujarat and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Hence, students can avail loan from any Nationalized, Private, or Foreign Banks subject to their eligibility. The University administration will provide all the required documents to help facilitate the process.

Plastindia International University (PIU) is established by an Act of Legislative Assembly of Gujarat hence student can avail benefits of the schemes floated by Government of Gujarat and Government of India. For other state government schemes, the university will provide administrative facilitation.

The admission process at Plastindia International University (PIU) strictly adheres to the policies set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). Refunds will be issued according to the guidelines outlined by UGC and ACPC. The cancellations made after the specified date will not be eligible for a refund.

PIU assists the admitted students for access to accommodation and dining services. Lunch and refreshments are available at the in-house cafeteria on a chargeable basis.
